Charlotte – Teacher / Administrative assistant

I’m from a small suburb in New Jersey, USA. After I received my CELTA, I went to Mazatlan, Mexico, where I taught English for a year in a small private school.

Wanting to live in a city (and to escape Mazatlan’s heat!), I came to Mexico City in April of 2013 and started working with Perfect Lingo soon after. Besides teaching English, I also handle our administrative work.

I enjoy teaching English because it allows me to get to know my students and learn about their culture, whilst also letting me share with them what I know about my home country.

I strive to make my students feel at ease in the classroom and to depict the English language as something fun and obtainable. The most rewarding thing for me is when the material clicks for the students and they are able to express themselves with that material outside of the classroom. That’s when I know I’ve achieved my goal!
